Whenever we would go to Balboa Island near Newport Beach we would stop in Martha's bookstore. The store had a lot of metaphysical, self help books and a good children's section for books.
The last time we went to Balboa last June, Martha's bookstore had moved out and it was vacant.
I'm hoping to go again possibly in June this year because we are on schedule at some point in midJune to have a power pole replaced right across our driveway. Mike had talked to a person from Edison who said it would probably be a whole day that the power would be out. We figured we will use the day to go to either Laguna Beach area or San Diego possibly overnight just to make sure that when we get back the power will be one. We can call our friend Ray who lives across the street and ask him if the power is back on before we head home.
I'm anxious to see what has moved in to Martha's Bookstore which is in a very quaint little town on Balboa Island. I think we will have to flip a coin - Mike is voting for San Diego and I'm thinking Laguna. Either one would be nice.
Speaking of bookstores, I haven't been in one for years - I use to love to have dinner out and then visit a Barnes and Nobles or Borders for browsing the bookstore. I would always come home with so many books! I need to do this again some day, especially with my sister - which is something we did in the past when we lived near each other.
