REDLANDS FRONT PORCH POST -

Yesterday we went to Redlands and I saw this pretty blue house.  We also drove through an area called Smiley Heights - pretty nice houses there.  We were up high on a road and could look down and see orange groves.  It was beautiful yesterday and well worth the trip down - besides we had to do our usual monthly shopping.

I wouldn't say no to living in that white house.

This time of year the citrus groves smell so good.

YES, IT'S THE LAKE AGAIN - MORE PHOTOS BECAUSE IT LOOKED LIKE A "MIRROR" LAKE YESTERDAY

The lighting was perfect and on the south shore looking to the north shore the reflections were beautiful.  And people out in shorts and T-shirts - it was probably in the 60's.

AS SOON AS THE SUN CAME OUT YESTERDAY

And the deluge of rain stopped we immediately went to visit three of the mountain lakes - the first being the one we live by, Lake Gregory.

Dam should be completed in a few months but they have let the maximum amount of water in the lake from the rain ...that they can allow at this time so it has filled the lake up better than it was.

It was a gorgeous day - 48 degrees, mild breeze, beautiful sky and a great walk. 

The sky - wow so pretty and everything looked washed and clean - and the smells after the rain - even the cat spray wasn't offensive.  Damp earth smells so good.

FIVE DAYS AGO IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL WALK ALONG THIS PATH

And since then it's been cloudy and rainy ever since which is so good for the mountains and the lakes.  Every lake up here has low water levels compared to where they were years ago. 

This walk was at Lake Arrowhead along the shoreline - which is now one of my favorite walks. 

The most beautiful time to take this walk is in the fall but it was still pretty this winter.  +

Just a few photos while on the highway and making a detour along the way to Arrowbear Lake - the little seasonal lake I love to visit this time of year.  It was iced over quite a big but with temps warming up a bit it will soon be melted.
