AN INVITING PLACE TO SIT AND HAVE A COFFEE

Another business on the same street in Cambria  where businesses are run out of what looks like  private houses or Bed and Breakfast type places.

ANOTHER HOUSE IN CAMBRIA, CA - ON THE SAME STREET AS THE TWO BELOW

This was a very unique looking house  which I would love to see the inside.

Weather report for today - fog, clouds moving in, temperature dropped quickly about 10 degrees cooler than it was a little bit ago and misty rain starting.  I enjoyed the last several days because the weather was nice and we were able to get out and do a few long walks around the lake(s) up here.

No snow so far predicted for the next week but possibly later on in the month.

FRONT PORCH AND BEAUTIFUL HOUSE IN CAMBRIA NEAR TOWN

This house is just a few houses down from the one I posted earlier (The Spanish one below).   Most of these are private houses and some run little businesses out of their house.  I wish I still had photographs of our first visit to this area 30 years ago .  At that time I wasn't that much into photos except of my kids when they were little so even though I loved the town I doubt I would find photos of this street where the houses are.   I've been here so many times since and each time I find something new I forgot about.

So....Cambria, California - a must see town if you are ever in Central California area.  It's so quaint and just up the road a few miles you can tour Hearst Castle.   The first house I do remember seeing though on our first visit was a house made out of bottles (and maybe this is a false memory but also made out of hubcaps), a very different house and I know I have a photo of it somewhere.

Anyway I really liked this house when I saw it  in fact the whole part of the street we walked up was filled with unique houses with their own "soul" feeling.

I noticed there were several bikes out in front (not seen in these pics) that you can rent, so I assume that is part of their business they do out of this house.  (adding more: -Bridge Street Inn - ...has 10 rooms/suites.

A CUTE ITALIAN RESTAURANT

While up at the central coast over Thanksgiving week we went to Cambria, a kind of artist colony beachy town and were hoping we could get into a restaurant to get something to eat.  Since it was a holiday week and this is a popular destination we figured we would only wait a half hour at the most.    Here is what we experienced.

Service was great and food was delicious and it was oh so quiet and peaceful and SO unexpected.

I have some photos I'll be posting of this beautiful town.

ABOUT TIME TO POST MY VERY FAVORITE PHOTO EVER

I took this photo back in January of 2017 when I visited the coast for a week and during that time visited Cambria.  We happened to be there when evening came and the shops lit up with lights and the fog was rolling into town from the coast.  I want to go back again especially when it's foggy and some day get more photos of various shops in town.
