REMEMBERING - EUGENE OREGON

Gosh - just remembering how I loved Eugene, Oregon and all the towns we stopped in when my sister and I took a road trip in the spring of last year up the Northern California coast.  I've taken a lot of photos lately but it seems most everything I do is here in the mountains where I live and sometimes it gets boring posting those pics.  I needed color today.

In Eugene - they have a pretty big street market every week and we were fortunate enough to be there during that time.  I loved all the pottery I saw.  I think there are quite a few artists and creative people who lived in this University town.

I put very few pics of this trip on my blog here.  I might put up more later and enjoy the trip all over again.

SOUNDS OF SILENCE

I discovered this the other day while hanging over at Youtube enjoying different videos.  So beautiful - the sounds it makes.

SOME BIG BEAR PHOTOS

This area I feel when I'm there is more of a mix of mountain and high desert.  I love the way the hills are behind the houses.  If ever I wanted a ranch and horses, I would choose this area, at least right now anyway.

First week of August is turning out to be really pretty around here.  No humidity to speak of - warm temps but nice when sitting out in the evening.

Hope u all have a great week.

JOYFUL COOL BREEZES AT THE LAKE

Yesterday at Green Valley Lake - it was a cool 75 with the right amount of breezes.  While down in the valley it was hitting temps of 107 and in the deserts I read it could be well over 100, it was just perfect in the mountains.  Green Valley Lake is another small mountain town higher than ours with a small lake  the town is about five buildings.  Years ago we owned a small cabin up in this area but we later sold it.   A lot of people were there enjoying the day which was fun to see.

They had a small festival yesterday so knowing it wouldn't be very crowded we headed up there - talk about small - there were about five booths and the only business open was the small market and a cafe.  The house I posted photos of really appealed to me - it was just up the road about five houses from the shoreline.  And, I can't pass a dog without taking its' photo(s)..
