NOTHING MUCH REALLY - JUST DOCUMENTING THE DAY AFTER THE CROWDS LEAVE (LABOR DAY WEEKEND)

Finally got out regardless of the smoke in the air and walked over at Lake Arrowhead, and it was so nice that we could park and not have to look all over for a parking space.  This was on Tuesday the day after Labor Day.  Still a lot of smoke in the air.  I can see the haze but I really don't smell smoke.  We will get out again today and see how things are.  It's in the mid 80's today so that's a welcome relief from last week.

There was only one boat on this part of the lake that I could see.

Son muy refrescantes las imágenes del lago. Las casas de sus proximidades tienen muy buena arquitectura y debe de ser agradable vivir en ellas.

These are such pretty pictures! It looks so pleasant but we know how miserable it is for others all over. Feeling pretty lucky.

We saw some sunlight today and no smell of smoke here but it is visible. We had a nice walk in a certain neighborhood. We walked down one street in one of my favorite neighborhoods over by Costco. First street we walked on there was a little girl and boy and their mom and their grandparents out on the sidewalk. The kids were selling their homemade cupcakes so we bought a couple and tipped them too and ate them while we walked. We walked over to Costco to buy some pesto that I desperately wanted and cheese/steak chimichangas and then walked back to the car to leave the purchases and walk on around that lovely park. It felt so good to be outside!

oh the costco pesto - i miss it. I might have to get a membership again just for that.

i know the street you mean - probably that gorgeous one in the fall last time we were there.
the funny thing is, one day we were in redlands and bought lemonade from a stand and tipped the girls. the littlest girl ran back and got twig and brought it to us as a gift. it was the sweetest thing. hope u enjoyed your cupcakes. i stayed in and sketch a scene fromthe fires instead of going out walking... darn. tomorrow for sure we will go out.

Looks so nice there! Are you getting any autumn color yet? it's always nice when tourist season ends and things get quiet.

Yes we are getting a bit - mostly liquid ambers and dogwoods ...just the beginnings of lots of color. How are you doing..are you near any fires in Oregon...(HotflashHomestead).

thanks Winifred, good to see you.

Carol - our "Lake Arrowhead" and Big Bear ,...not so much near our Lake Gregory... they have tourists all year long, especially Big Bear which is a four season resort.

Such a pretty place. I love the first photo with the sun and shadows.
Took our first walk around the neighborhood in a couple of weeks..first it was just too hot and then the air was so bad we didn't dare breathe any of it.
It was warmish but felt good to be out.
