HERE WE ARE - PRESENT AND READY - FOR FIRST DAY OF SUMMER

It's not my favorite season but it does lead into my favorite season which is Fall.  Anyway - I haven't posted much at all on my blogs lately.  We've been busy with the yearly yard clean up which usually has to be done by June 1 every year .   It's a typical thing in the mountains the county requires to keep defensible space around properties in case of fire. Memorial day was busy up here but oddly enough it wasn't really loud.  Every other year and holiday you can hear the activities at the lake from my house and the bands and the volume usually so loud.

I don't go swimming anymore and years since I've put on a bathing suit but I still enjoy going over the seeing everyone enjoying the lake.  It was crowded on Saturday but on Sunday not so much.  Every path around the lake which had a good size shoreline  had people with canopies put up and enjoying the day.

These photos are just from the front part of the lake across from the Grocery store parking lot.  All weekend the sky was amazing with high clouds.

  2. What beautiful photos, and yes it was a pretty day. I'm not keen on swimming in a lake, but I have to admit when a lake is surrounded by gorgeous mountains like that, it's far more tempting! I would probably wade in for a bit then watch everyone else.

  3. Ah, this is the start of my favorite season. It rained the entire holiday weekend here so it's really nice to see sunshine and people at the lake. Looks like a fun weekend was had by all

  7. Lovely photos! I remember visiting Bear Lake many years ago when we lived in Wyoming for a while. Very seasonal when it comes to activities there.

Like you, I don't swim any more and I haven't owned a bathing suit in many years.

P.S. - I'm back blogging after a long absence so just dropped in to say HI.

  9. Lovely photos, that lake looks gorgeous. I do love summer it's the only time I ever go out without a coat and it's not too hot.

I love lakes & the sea where I learned to swim but I never swim in them. I love swimming but am too scared of catching the bug to use the pools now. Maybe I'll have to overcome my fear of the sea now but I'll have to buy a wet suit to avoid hypothermia!
