Our colors are still going strong. We've been out quite a bit lately, up to Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, our area, and tomorrow we will probably go to Wrightwood where we use to live before moving to these mountains and see what it is looking like over there.
This is from yesterday over at Lake Arrowhead. It is amazing right now.
As we walked along the shoreline I was taking photos and finally I told Mike, don't wait for me go on ahead if you want. He did and found a perfect spot to sit which I did , as I came around the bend and saw him sitting there in the chair. The weather was chilly to start out which I had a jacket with me but by half way through I had to take it off and enjoy the warm weather. It's only chilly when the breezes come across the water. If I go out again today to find somewhere to walk I'll leave that jacket at home - it's a pain to walk around carrying a jacket and a camera.
This time last year - we had our first snow on November 7, and it stayed on the ground, at least in my yard, for a good week. It was only a few inches but this time of year since I am on the shady side of the lake and town, we get very little sun.
Es un lugar ideal para pasear y admirar esas buenas vistas, que no han pasado desapercibida, para tu cámara.

Really gorgeous photos and glad you are having such mild weather.
ReplyDeleteGosh I'm so jealous of your scenery, I love it! My step-Dad used to talk about Wrightwood, but I'm not remembering what he said about it - maybe that he used to work in the logging business there?
ReplyDeleteThat really is a nice spot Mike found to sit. Sometimes I'll tie my jacket around my waist when we are walking. Are you looking forward to your first snow?
Beautiful autumn photos ~ awesome ~ Xo

How amazing to live in Southern California and yet have such amazing and gorgeous autumn color! You are the luckiest residents in the state! I'll take that over just about any other climate there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Autumn colours.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs.
All the best Jan
Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteLilnda - Wrightwood is a really quaint little town. We lived there for about 18 months after we sold our family home and decided to try mountain living. We left to come to the mountains we are at now 8 years ago this month. I still like to go visit Wrightwood and Lake Hesparia which is somewhat on the way depending the route we take. From our mountain town to Wrightwood would be about 50 minutes i think. That's interesting about your step dad in Wrightwood. I do that all the time,, this time of year - end of putting my jacket around my waist.
HFH. We are having really nice SoCal weather lately. Today it was 60's both here and at the other mountain town. Great walking weather.
thanks Jan, Antonia, Laura and Carol.
Lovely Lake scenery. Don't you just love the brilliant colors?
ReplyDeleteI like that picture of your hubby enjoying the view and the one that has the people fishing on the dock too.
Hope you got out for another walk...sans jacket..
Sue
