HOPING TO GET BACK IN THE BLOGGING MOOD

So far, other than a few posts on Instagram and a few on FB I haven't found the motivation to post anything.  It's like I try to think of something to say and it just isn't there.   Anyway - May is here and we had a few weeks of beautiful weather from our extreme winter weather and now rain is coming and snow at higher elevation.

There are several things coming up in the near future I'm looking forward to.  First is a special day at SkyPark, Santa's Village for residents to get in free.  This is a big deal to me because usually for adults its' $50 for admission and other than being a beautiful place there's' not a lot to do.

Next after that there will be the county fair in our area which isn't a big deal compared to LA County Fair which I also want to go to this year.  Then Lake Arrowhead Village starts their summer concerts which is usually tribute bands of famous bands. Then in my favorite area, Redlands, they have the Redlands Bowl which is an outdoor venue, free of charge, for more tribute bands or classical music, etc.

I'll be visiting Oak Glen where I can stop and try to interact with  the Llamas who have such a superior attitude towards people and then there is the sweet horses I can't pass by without saying hello to them.

LA county fair - how I've missed you....(we haven't been since the pandemic closed everything).

Sweet Horses along Thompson Creek Trail.

And that's about all I can come up with to talk about except for the fact

The grosbeaks are back with their attitude.\

The squirrels are busy stealing whatever seen they can find.

I saw my first swallowtail of the season hanging around the wild lilac trees that is finally blooming.

The frog made it through winter and did fall off the tree again but I put him back.

We did get to see some wildflowers blooming about two days before the blizzard buried the mountains here and caused rock slides and areas where the sides of the hwys were in threat of falling which then entailed many road closures along with our main grocery store whose roof collapsed.  There was a state of emergency called in California in many areas both southern, central and I think Northern - record snowfall in so many places and lots of flooding with the rains.

And soon the Spanish Broom along the highway will be so pretty to look at again.

I guess I did have something to say.  Hope u all who might stop by are doing well.  I hope to get back to spending time in blog land.

HI AND THANKS FOR THE VISIT TO MY SNOWY POST AND YOUR COMMENTS

I am so tired of talking about snow on our mountain forums  or looking at snow I will start blogging about everything but snow.  One last thing I will say is we can get 2 to 4" in a few days and then after that it looks like one more storm coming in around April 4 and after that possibly clear skies and spring weather.

So, here is a beautiful house I saw in Shell Beach when I was up helping to take care of family last fall.  I was able to get out a few times a week for several hours while my niece took over after work to help with her parents.  I would visit several different beach towns, Pismo, Shell Beach, Avila Beach, Morro Bay, Grover Beach and spent some quiet hours walking around and enjoying the sights.  Shell Beach became a favorite because of the many pelicans that would fly to the rocks that were out in the ocean.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get inspired to blog again which I haven't been for a long time.  Hope u all are doing good and enjoying spring.  I can't wait to see a flower bloom here.  Actually the only flower i saw blooming was at the hardware store where we bought bird seed yesterday.  It was a few daffodils in a plantar.

I'd rather see beach houses right now than mountain homes, lol.

I love the landscaping at this house.  I saw so many beautifully different houses walking in Shell Beach neighborhoods.

NOT MUCH TO SAY EXCEPT

These storms just don't stop.

BUT LUCKILY we don't live in Tahoe.

adding  a few pics.  Total of where we are about 8 feet of snow.  These pics were day or two before the blizzard actually stopped.  That's bout 4 feet of snow i think on the storage shed and the snow eventually went over the fence and anyway, i'll post more  to show you first hand what the news was always talking about - out here anyway, lol.

Mike was out there every day for like three weeks because of the storms that came before the blizzard trying to keep this part of the driveway clear to the road and would continually shovel off the jeep.  then the plow would come around and bury us with a huge berm again over night.

This was my area below i would try to keep shoveled..all in all after these sucessive storms and the blizzard it was like this and a few times completely to the top ..all that snow had to be shoveled down to the backyard which eventually make on top of the almost 8 feet of snow we got made it another 10 feet or so berm.

another day another big load on the deck.

every damn day, lolol i would see him have to go out there and keep going.

my neighbor's house across the road before the snow got so deep we could have actually walked on top all the way to his deck.

my toyota is covered with a tarp right there.

GOING THROUGH MY PHOTOS AND FOUND THIS

I really don't remember this photo - I took so many that day a few years ago.  Today after seeing it in my files I realize it's three generations cooking, my husband, my grandchild and my son.  It was the guys that cooked that day (my son is a chef).  I had nothing to do with making that meal.  I love this photo.  My grandson is now a junior and a lot taller.

A SCENE IN WINTER OF THE LAKE

I actually looked at the date today here on my blog and see it's been over three months since I posted.  Thought I would drop a post here and see if it gets me back in the groove of posting on blogs.  I've done a few here and there at a different blog but it's time to rev this one back up.   Also with a big snow storm coming in I will be visiting blogs I haven't seen in awhile as I'll have plenty of time to do that.  Hope u are all doing well.
