BIG BEAR LAKE AS OF MAY 14, 2019 -

This area of the lake lost  its' water in 2014-15 and was completely dry and was a cracked lake bed for the next four years until this last winter when we had so much snow and rain.  It was so good to walk the footbridge and see how much water has still been flowing into it from the snow melt.  We were up there a few weeks ago and even then it didn't have this much.

So wonderful to see this again.  And, today we have already had over an inch of rain and possibly snow up in Big Bear (although I haven't read the most recent weather reports).

  1. Nice! I like the colors in the third up from the bottom! That looks like a great walk over the water.

  4. Great pictures - I haven't been there for so many years. It's so wonderful to be out of that horrible drought.
