We have had her for almost six years. I have witnessed her love for boxes (like all cats love), but the other day Mike opened up a box that was delivered from Amazon and mindlessly just put it on the chair next to where he was sitting. I walked into the room and there she was - the first time I ever saw her fit into a tiny box. My camera was on the counter so i kept saying to her "don't move" ...over and over while getting the camera and taking her photo.
ahh, the tape on the chair shows up..oh well...these chairs will have tape on them until the day she isn't with us anymore. She's already ruined them with her nails.

ReplyDeleteI am sure Beanie is so proud of herself that she fit in that box. And she did it while the box was sitting on the chair? I'm surprised she didn't knock the box over trying to get in it. What a princess.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh how cute! She is adorable and so proud of herself - lol! We used to have tape all over the sides of a recliner. Our Katy shredded the sides. We ended up giving the chair away! Now that we have 4 cats, 3 of them (including Katy) use the scratcher, but one of them still likes to shred our chairs. Oh well!

ReplyDeleteLinda - .. we clip her nails but somehow she still has managed to poke holes in the seats and then it eventually spreads out. At some point we have talked about having it upholstered in a strong material ...but then it's like - no she'll just ruin it again. She does use her scratcher but she likes the sides of chairs and sofas also. Such a bitch, lol.

Ah she's lovely. They do love a box always reminds me of children on Christmas Day preferring to play with the boxes rather than the presents.
ReplyDeleteMy two prefer to use the stair carpet for clawing. They have a great big scratch pole with places to lie & sleep on & they use it but scratching the stair carpet ensures we get out of bed early in the morning to minimise the damage. Who says cats are stupid? They have us sussed!
