NEW ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN AGUA FRIA ON WAY TO LAKE ARROWHEAD

After the last snow we drove over to Lake Arrowhead and on the way we passed through Agua Fria (an extremely small town and then Blue Jay and  on to Lake Arrowhead - it was a gorgeous drive and I took many photos).

This restaurant opened up a few months ago - It's the only Italian Restaurant I know of up on the mountain here unless you go up to Big Bear.  We had one other one in town but it burned down a couple years ago.   Hopefully one day we can try it out.  I use to always love Italian but rarely if ever any more, go to an Italian restaurant.

The plan for today since we have one or two days before it starts raining again is to go to Arcadia to visit the Arboretum, that is...if I don't change my mind before it's time to leave.  I can be indecisive sometimes and think I want to leave and then discover I'd rather stay home or go out some place close.  From the mountains it will take about an hour to get there.

What's your plans on this beautifully dry Monday?

  1. I hope the restaurant has really yummy food so we can go there when I visit sometime this year. We have already been out and about and visited Morro Bay, walking some streets in town and some neighborhood streets rather than being down by the water because the closer to the ocean the more wind there was. It was one of those meandering days, the kind I like, looking in shop windows, going inside some of them and trying out a new cafe for lunch. The Kitty Cafe, kind of harks back to simpler times, a place our parents might have gone for breakfast or lunch, locals hang out there, the proprietor knows everyone in town probably since it has been there for 30 years, black checkered table cloths, cat art all over the place, and a counter to sit at and get food and a milkshake. You will probably want to try it next time you're in town. Pictures will be forthcoming.

  5. Laura - that place you described sounds interesting - will have to see it in May. Looking forward to the pics

Thanks Connie and Martha. The houses above the lake always make for a pretty photo.
