AT THE BEGINNING OF WINTER 2018 TO 2019 THE LAKE LEVEL WAS DOWN NINE FEET.
I've never seen the lake at full capacity - it is officially a full lake now. One time I saw it come to the rock wall along the side of the lake where the docks are and the village in the background - and it might have been a foot deep. Now it's almost at the top of the wall. And a bigger storm coming tomorrow.
We went there yesterday and it was cold but worth it to see the water level. Today we will walk one of the areas of the shoreline over there and see what it looks like from a different perspective. Tomorrow before the next storm comes in we hope to go up to Big Bear to see the lake, and also Baldwin Lake which now has water. All snow except for the ski areas will be melted so we can get a good walk up there along the shore line also. SO GLAD we can finally get out and enjoy the reason we love it up here.
Here is the Arrowhead Queen out in the fog - which moved in quickly right before we were leaving.

ReplyDeleteSandy,
ReplyDeleteAs I've said before, you live in a beautiful community. A place many would love to live or at the very least visit. Your pictures make me want to come out there! Do you have a spare bedroom? *jk* ;)
haha, yes I do have a spare but it's my cat's bedroom - you could share though. thanks for your visit and comments. It is beautiful up here but during tourist season it can be a big headache. we just stay home .
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you've been able to get out and walk and enjoy the beauty there. Also glad to hear the lake is full. I know it has been dry out there for a while.
