Families enjoying the local lake where i live. Some maintained distance, about half wore masks, half didn't. There was a cute little dog with a pink dress on but I didn't get photos of she and her two sisters together - three dogs had pink dresses on.
Our lake was probably the least busy of all the lakes up here. Lake Arrowhead we drove by but didn't stop - a lot of people had their boats out.
There was probably throngs of people at Big Bear Lake so it was a good day to stay away.

Nice pictures, but I didn't know people could go in the lake unless they were at the swimming area? We didn't go anywhere today, figuring it would be really crowded at the coast.

ReplyDeleteLaura, the designated swimming area isn't open - no lifeguards, no snack bar, etc. no splash island. So even though they aren't suppose to swim in the water or put their boats in unless they are inspected.. people seem to be enjoying the far end of the lake - the shallower end by the old ball field. I kind of enjoyed seeing everyone having fun. One mom was there teaching her little kids how to dive and float in the water. She is p ictured in one of the photos and the girls are seen underneath the water after diving in..i had just taken their pic when they did that. People were fishing, swimming,, and totally immersed in having fun it appeared.
Lovely place and wonderful photos ~ looks like a good Father's Day ~ cute doggie but not a fan of dressing up dogs ~ sorry ~

I'm not quite ready to be in huge crowds.
Hubby and I are healthy but "old" and don't want to compromise anything. I plan on being around a whole lot longer...(:0)

The dog in a pink dress is so cute. Looks like it was a beautiful, sunny day. I can see why so many were out enjoying it, but at the same time it would make we wary to be there because of the pandemic.
