Walked along the trail by water over at Lake Arrowhead. It's always a treat when autumn arrives in the mountains. Of course, nothing like the northwest, the Sierras, and back east which I can spend hours looking on instagram for fall colors in Vermont and other places. But, we aren't at the peak yet - still have almost a month to go before some of the best colors show up in November.
Mainly the colors we are getting are from aspens, black oaks, scarlet oaks, sweet gums (liquid amber), dogwoods, and some redbuds. November according to last years photos is when it really starts to get colorful.
There are still several boats in the docks but a lot have been stored until next spring.
Looks so nice where you are!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely. We just reached peak color. By November most of the trees will be bare. Weather dudes are predicting a mild, less snowy Winter for us because of La Nina. I hope they are right. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of the colors and boats in storage. It's such a pretty time of year.
ReplyDeleteOur trees are really not into their color yet..I even wonder if they will turn this year...probably just go from green to dry and brown and fall off...the weather has been too crazy. It's suppose to get into the 90's again today.
I can't wait for the Liquid Ambers to do their thing.
Hope you week goes well.
Sue
