On our way home from several days in Pismo, we stopped at the marina in Ventura. It felt great to get out and walk along the harbor. I noticed they were building a lot of condo's or apartments and it just reminded me that there is never a time when more and more building is NOT going on in California. Seems like everywhere I look it continues to expand with more and more people buying expensive houses or condos and the freeways get more clogged with traffic.
When we were in Seattle last month I couldn't believe the amount of buildings going up in downtown. I just saw a news report today that a crane collapsed in down Seattle killing four people and injurying three others. Very sad.
Anyway, nice to be home and enjoying our great mountain weather.

Wow, beautiful pictures of the marina area! I see all that building going on across the water
ReplyDelete.
Beautiful pictures of the marina area and that looks like a lot of new places being built. Pretty soon we won't be able to travel anywhere without spending so many hours on the roads trying to get places, it won't be worth it. ;(
Looks like such an amazing area to explore!
ReplyDeleteWow...such a beautiful marina!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much for taking us there, Sandy...and just look at that amazing blue sky!! xxx
También a mí me gusta pasear por el puerto cuando viajo a una ciudad que esté a la orilla del mar.
ReplyDeleteMuy buenas imágenes has captado.
Gorgeous photos! I love all the cheery, bright colors.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see all of your photographs.
ReplyDeleteI like the Fisherman's Memorial.
All the best Jan
Love the photos.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a worldwide thing now all this expansion. Some beautiful places being ruined & so crowded. I hate travelling by car for holidays, much prefer the train so much more relaxing.
