HIGH CLOUDS IN THE MOUNTAINS

We went up the hwy to Keller Peak in Running Springs yesterday and the clouds were beautiful.   I took quite a few photos  on the hwy before we ever got to where we were going.  It was somewhat humid and although we did get a good walk, we didn't get as far as we wanted to go.  While sitting on a rock Mike checked the phone for the altitude we were at and it was close to 7300 ft so that's why I was feeling winded after a short time of uphill stuff.

The next few days is going to be below 70 so it might be a good day to try again.  But, there are winds coming so that will probably guarantee that another trip is in the works.

Such pretty skies.

  2. Beautiful clouds and views! Hate to hear winds are coming your way. Now I gotta go check if we are going to get winds also. How far of a drive is it to where you went?

  3. probably less than an hour. The area we go to is closed until Memorial Day and then closes around Labor Day because it's in a terrain that doesn't get plowed in the winter. You go off the man hwy and then take a road on up for about 20 minutes or so. First time we went there we went up all the way to the Fire Lookout Place. That was the first year we moved here and now we make sure to go every year when the gates open. It's beautiful up there.

  4. Has captado unas buenas nubes. Se ve un lugar con mucha altura y algo empinado, para poder andar con comodidad.
